I've only been into Scotch for about 3 or 4 years. My most expensive


bottle would fall in the $230 range (which is not a lot for Scotch), including Dalmore 18, Glenmorangie Signet, Talisker 18, Jonnie Walker Blue, and Balvinie 17. One thing I've learned is that some of my favorites are < $100 and my taste changes frequently. I prefer Talisker 10 to the 18, for instance. I also prefer Balvinie 14 (Caribbean Cask) to the 17.

My favorites are:
Talisker 10
Talisker Distillers Edition
Lagavulin 16
Jonnie Blue
Old Pultney 17

And there are so may that I have not tried....yet.
